Easter Tablescape – Farmhouse Style

March 27, 2025 by Kimberly Snyder 23 Comments

Spread the love

Are you looking for a way to incorporate vintage dishes into your family celebrations? Let me share how I decorated my table!

Making the New Space Feel Like Home

For Easter one year, I really brought the Farmhouse to Florida! Let me show you how to incorporate vintage dishes into your family celebrations.  I created a red , white and yellow theme using my Mom’s California Farmhouse dishes.  I added a bit of whimsy by adding one of my childhood vintage Easter toys into the tablescape as well.

On this blog, I may sometimes use affiliate links, which means I earn a small commission if you purchase via the link. The price will be the same whether you use the affiliate link or go directly to the vendor’s website using a non-affiliate link.  By using my affiliate links to shop, it helps me to be able to continue bringing you fresh new ideas and projects!  Thank you!

In case this is your first visit here, let me introduce myself!  My name is Kimberly and I have a passion for flowers (a former florist) and flour (a former pizzeria owner) and many things in between!  Especially rusty and chippy items! I love to share all the things I have learned over the years.  Sometimes I tell stories about my life.  Other times, I will share a craft, a decorating tip or a recipe. I hope you enjoy your thyme here today and learn at least one thing during your visit!

CALIFORNIA FARMHOUSE DISHES

These California Farmhouse dishes by Brock belonged to my Mom.  Brock was a pottery company founded in 1947 and located in California.  The company made several different patterns of china until the mid 1950s.  The California Farmhouse salad bowls definitely have a mid Century modern feel to them with the triangle feet!

These dishes bring back  a lot of memories! Even though they aren’t particularly coastal, they made the “cut” when I was getting ready for the move because of their sentimental value.  My Mom used them as her special dishes.  She mostly used them on Sundays and for Thanksgiving.

Let’s Get Started Decorating the Table

Once I decided that I wanted to use the California Farmhouse dishes for our Easter celebration, I started pulling together the rest of the tablescape.  I decided on a color scheme of red, yellow and white.

I had this long red & white runner that I thought would work perfectly with the dishes.

Cream & Red Runner on Outdoor Dining Table

For the centerpiece, I designed a red & white European Dish Garden.  The wrought iron stand holds a 10 inch terra cotta bulb pot. The dish garden is accented with 4 battery operated taper candles.

While I was putting the European Dish Garden together, I accidentally broke off a couple of stems from the red kalanchoe.  I placed them in the cap of a spray paint can with water and added them to the table!

My Mom had saved the vintage Easter chicken bank from my childhood. The little chickens still bob up & down!

The condiment server is simply adorable! I didn’t even realize she had this piece until I was packing up the dishes to move to Florida!  I used a simple clear mason jar to hold the silverware.

Pictured below is how I used the California Farmhouse dishes for a special dinner for just Dave & I.

The chafing dish on the wrought iron stand is neat, too!. Once I figure out how to have a heat source, it will be great for keeping fajitas or crepes warm!

One Last Look

The “love” sign looks like it is made out of barnwood and is red so it works with my color scheme and overall theme.

We aren’t quite finished with the lanai/outdoor kitchen/pool addition.  We still need to plaster and paint the wall where the old lanai was removed. We are in love with our new area!  If you are thinking about adding an outdoor addition or would like to see how our project progressed you can read about it here:

Thank  you for letting me share my tablescape with you!

It’s so nice that your Mum saved some of the things from your childhood for you. My husband thinks I’m too sentimental and should give that stuff away but I keep it just the same for my kids when they have kids of their own. Lovely table. I love the condiment set.

My Mom saved practically everything! I am glad she saved most of the things she did as I have learned a lot while sorting through everything. My husband isnt very sentimental either!

I love all of your vintage dishes Kim, but that bank is my favorite! I have never seen one like it, they do not make them like they used to, that is for sure. I will have to keep an eye out for one like it.
