With Easter only 5 weeks away, I need to “hop” to it and design my Easter table. Can you help be decide which Easter place settings to use?
Does this ever happen to you? I am having trouble deciding which dishes to use for my Easter place settings. While looking in the China cabinet for dishes for St Patrick’s Day, I realized there were several pieces that could work for Easter as well!
Honestly, the display in the China cabinet could use some work. I really think some of the dishes looked better when they were displayed in the corner cabinet at the farmhouse!
The Choices
After I set the dining room table with the Sweet Clover dishes for St Patrick’s Day, I was inspired to get a jump on the Easter table scape and see what might work. I started with the Fiestaware yellow plates and the two Polish pottery pansy plates.
I used the Fiestaware plates as chargers and added a navy blue round placemat. A tiny yellow ware Easter egg with a rustic heavy twine handle can be filled with a few pieces of Easter candy.
I changed out the placemat for a red one and replaced the pansy plate with a daisy themed plate. I love the celadon green stripes on these Pfaltzgraff plates. They are actually melamine! They would be safe to use if I decide to serve the meal out on the lanai.
Next I tried a place setting with my garden themed dishes. I traded out the red placemat for a blue gray one. I probably need one that is more of a Spring green if I decide to go with these dishes. I do have silver chargers I could add. The green water glasses belonged to my Mom.
A garden themed Easter doughbowl acts as a centerpiece for this option. The size and shape of this doughbowl is perfect for our octagon shaped dining table.
These garden themed dishes are some of the dishes we use on a daily basis. Pictured below is an early Fall tablescape when we still lived in the farmhouse.

Let’s Create a Whimsical Easter Tablescape
Which dishes do you think I should use for my Easter place setting? Maybe I will use one set for breakfast, one for Easter dinner and a different set for supper!
And the sad thing is this isn’t even all the choices! I thought I downsized my dishes when we moved!
Previously, I used my Mom’s California Farmhouse dishes for an Easter brunch on the lanai. Well, I guess they are technically my California Farmhouse dishes, now. Anyway, I could use those again. They make a pretty Easter table setting, too.

You have so many options!!! I can see why it is hard to choose. I love the little yellow ware easter egg with twine handle and perhaps I would put it with your mom’s farmhouse dishes. Tough choice but whatever you do I am sure it is going to look great.
