Let’s get to Mixin’
Gather Your Ingredients
To quickly mix up Cool Ranch Salsa Dip, all you need is a packet of dip mix, mayonnaise, sour cream, a can of diced tomatoes and 10 minutes! Reduced fat Sour cream can be used to prepare your dip. Plain Greek yogurt can also be substituted for the sour cream.
Start by blending together the sour cream and mayonnaise in a mixing bowl.
Next, sprinkle in the dip mix and stir until well blended.
Drain the can of diced tomatoes. If you want a spicer dip, use a can of Rotel diced tomatoes.
Add the drained, diced tomatoes to the bowl and blend well.
After allowing the prepared dip to chill for at least 1 hour, this delicious dip is ready to serve with some chips or vegetables!
What else can you dip in the Cool Ranch Salsa Dip?
Hint: the dip in the picture below is sitting on a pizza peel!
Yes, pizza! Now to be perfectly honest, I have never tried dipping my pizza in ranch of any kind! I had never even heard of such a thing until I bought the pizzeria and people started asking for sides of ranch & french dressing with their pizzas. The high school kids would go thru bottles of ranch dressing at lunch time! Practically every day “Fill Ranch Bottles” was on the prep list for the evening crew!
I believe the practice of dipping pizza in ranch dressing started in the Midwest and then expanded across the country. According to my research, it isn’t quite as popular on the East coast.
So the next time you order pizza, why not try dipping a slice in the Cool Ranch Salsa Dressing?
