To quickly mix up Cool Ranch Salsa Dip, all you need is a packet of dip mix, mayonnaise, sour cream, a can of diced tomatoes and 10 minutes!  Reduced fat Sour cream can be used to prepare your dip.  Plain Greek yogurt can also be substituted for the sour cream.

Start by blending together the sour cream and mayonnaise in a mixing bowl.

What else can you dip in the Cool Ranch Salsa Dip?

Hint: the dip in the picture below is sitting on a pizza peel!

Extra large pepperoni & sausage pizza

Yes, pizza!  Now to be perfectly honest, I have never tried dipping my pizza in ranch of any kind!  I had never even heard of such a thing until I bought the pizzeria and people started asking for sides of ranch & french dressing with their pizzas.  The high school kids would go thru bottles of ranch dressing at lunch time!  Practically every day “Fill Ranch Bottles” was on the prep list for the evening crew!

I believe the practice of dipping pizza in ranch dressing started in the Midwest and then expanded across the country.  According to my research, it isn’t quite as popular on the East coast.

So the next time you order pizza, why not try dipping a slice in the Cool Ranch Salsa Dressing?

Notes

In addition to vegetables, this dip can be served with tortilla chips, potato chips, or crackers.
The dip can be used as a spread on bread when making a sandwich
The dip could be served in a bread bowl. To do this, simply cut the top off a loaf of italian bread to form a bowl.  Place the dip in the bread bowl.  The portion of the loaf that was cut off can be cut into smaller pieces and used as a dipper for the dip.

COOKING WITH KIM

My entrepreneurial journey started with my love of herbs , both growing and cooking with them.  This love of herbs eventually lead to owning a pizzeria.

Makin' Pizza Sign

Throughout my culinary career, I have discovered that using mixes can make a cook’s life so much easier! Using a mix to make a recipe is as simple as adding a few ingredients to the mix, stirring, cooking or chilling and serving!

I am now having a lot of fun working with the ladies from Mad Dash Mixes.  They did send me some products to sample but my opinions about the products are my own.  My full disclosure policy can be found on the Disclosure page.

I don’t talk about my faith a lot. I do believe I don’t talk about my faith a lot. I do believe God puts certain people in your path for a reason. An example of this occurred on Tuesday. It was colonoscopy/sigmoidoscopy day. I was really nervous about how it would all work since it was my first time since I had my cancer surgery.

The nurse that was taking care of me in the pre op area turned out to be the same nurse who had prayed for me last year. My husband was in the parking lot of the medical center speaking with his friend who happened to work at the center with this particular nurse. I was very sick at the time and they prayed for my healing. It was great to be able to thank her in person and let her see that the prayers had been answered. ❤️

Then the anesthesiologist came in and told me about his cousin who had also been diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer about a year ago. He mentioned some of the treatments his cousin had had and how important a positive attitude is. I was touched that he took the time to tell me about his cousin’s experience.

We had arranged in advance to have my husband’s friend as the nurse anesthesist. He was able to pray with us as well as reassure us about the procedure.

The procedure went well. The three polyps that the surgeon removed were sent to pathology. The report is already back and there no evidence of cancer. Prayers were answered again❤️
