Let’s get started!
This next example was a vignette that was in the Airbnb we stayed in in Waco, Texas a few weeks go. Leslie, the owner of the property, simply place a few stems of faux hydrangea in a vintage blue canning jar. She placed the jar on a footed pedestal and added a vintage flower frog and a few pumpkins. I love it!
I know Spring is a ways away but these fresh lilacs look so good in this mason jar, don’t you think?
Peonies , either silk or real, are also a favorite of mine.
Really, any flowers will work!
If you have been following me for awhile, you know that I have a thing about wooden boxes! If you have a favorite wooden carrier, here is a great way to combine your carrier with several mason jars filled with fresh or faux flowers!

Supplies to make Mason Jar Arrangements:
In order to turn a mason jar into a pretty arrangement, you will need the following things in your supply cabinet.
Vintage Ball jars. If you don’t the blue colored ones, you can use the clear Mason jar or even an empty glass jar. Canning jars can often be found at estate sales, garage sales, antique stores or thrift shops.
Sets of battery operated fairy lights. These are the fairy lights I used in these Mason Jar arrangements. They come with batteries and are waterproof. https://amzn.to/40fMmP4
Depending on the season, you will need enough faux or fresh flowers to fill the jars. I like using faux hydrangea year round. There are a lot of different colors available.
or peonies
Sometimes I like to add ribbon around the neck of the jar. In the late summer and Fall, I like to use ribbon with a sunflower print. If you prefer a simpler look, you could use raffia or twine. Here is the link for the ribbon I have used. There are many beautiful ribbon available online or in your local fabric store as well.
