A Very Brief Introduction to Everlastings
Everlastings are flowers and seed pods that can be easily dried. Once they are dried, they will hold their shape and color for quite some time.
To dry them, simply gather them into bundles and hang them in a dry location for several weeks. Once they are dried, they can be used in floral arrangements or simply placed in a basket to add interest. I like wrap the bundles in brown kraft paper and tie them with raffia.
How To Design A Rustic Garden Style Centerpiece
If you don’t have dried flowers (everlastings), you could use fresh flowers or faux. Shown below are examples of the types of flowers that were used to create the arrangement in the old wooden tool carrier.
You will also need a tool carrier or some sort of wooden box or container.
This arrangement features white pumpkins but you could also use mini orange ones or gourds if you prefer.
Once you have all your elements gathered, simply fill the box or carrier with the pumpkins and add small pieces of the dried or faux botanicals around the pumpkins.
If you decide to use fresh flowers, you could place each stem in a little water tube to help keep the flowers fresh.
Once the arrangement is ready, place it on your table!

To Complete the Tablescape
A pair of metal lanterns can be added to the tablescape along with a few acorns. Small antlers can be used to add interest and more texture.
Finish setting the table with white dishes and linen napkins. Enjoy your Thanksgiving!
