Looking for a resilient blooming plant? Something light & airy that will accent other plants? Diamond Snow is one of my favorites!

Proven Winners Diamond Snow: An Ideal Addition to Your Outdoor Setting

Looking for an extraordinary, undemanding & resilient addition to your garden landscape?  I have just the answer: Proven Winners Diamond Snow!  This spectacular plant is simply an indispensable addition for your outdoor area.

Diamond Snow by Proven Winners plants

The combination of its dainty white flowers and distinctive green foliage makes it easy to see just why Diamond Snow has rapidly become a gardener’s favorite!   Not only is it delightful to look at, but it’s also almost effortless to care for.  It flourishes in a variety of conditions, including full sun and partial shade, and it is even drought tolerant. Diamond Snow is an excellent addition to almost anywhere in your garden: containers, borders, and even rock gardens. Regardless of your level of gardening experience,  Diamond Snow is an ideal addition to any outdoor setting!

Proven Winners Diamond Snow

Proven Winners actually has three euphorbias in their Diamond Collection: Frost, Snow and Mountain.  I have used both the Frost and the Snow.  I find either one of them works wonderfully in the garden.

Diamond Frost is more airy than the slightly more compact Diamond Snow.  I am sometimes guilty of using the names Frost and Snow interchangeably.  I am trying to get better at using the correct name!

I was first introduced to this marvelous plant way back in 2008 when I had my flower shop, Petals & Porch Post.

We would sell a lot of patio pots, combo pots and hanging baskets for Mother’s Day.  I marketed this combo basket as “Diamond Cloud”.  Once the basket has a chance to fill out, it looks like the geraniums are floating in a cloud of fluffy white flowers!

Let’s Dig A Little Deeper on the Topic of Diamond Snow

A perennial plant, Euphorbia Diamond Snow is a hybrid of Euphorbia polychroma and Euphorbia seguieriana and is known for its hardiness and durability.  It is a compact variety that typically grows up to 12 inches tall and 18 inches wide. The plant features a mound of green foliage that is covered with an abundance of small, white flowers throughout the summer months. The flowers bloom from May through September and attract bees and other pollinators to your garden.

Diamond Snow is a very low-maintenance plant.   Not only drought tolerant, it can grow in a range of soil types, including sandy, loamy, and clay soils. While the dainty plant prefers full sun, it can  tolerate partial shade. The plant is hardy to USDA zones 5-8 and can withstand temperatures as low as -10°F.  If you aren’t sure which growing zone you live in, simply check out this USDA Hardiness map found here.

I am for sure not the garden boffin, but when I saw this diamond snow, it immediately called me by name. It’s so pretty. I will have to share it with our daughter or maybe try to find it here in Canada and get some as a gift for her.

I don’t talk about my faith a lot. I do believe I don’t talk about my faith a lot. I do believe God puts certain people in your path for a reason. An example of this occurred on Tuesday. It was colonoscopy/sigmoidoscopy day. I was really nervous about how it would all work since it was my first time since I had my cancer surgery.

The nurse that was taking care of me in the pre op area turned out to be the same nurse who had prayed for me last year. My husband was in the parking lot of the medical center speaking with his friend who happened to work at the center with this particular nurse. I was very sick at the time and they prayed for my healing. It was great to be able to thank her in person and let her see that the prayers had been answered. ❤️

Then the anesthesiologist came in and told me about his cousin who had also been diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer about a year ago. He mentioned some of the treatments his cousin had had and how important a positive attitude is. I was touched that he took the time to tell me about his cousin’s experience.

We had arranged in advance to have my husband’s friend as the nurse anesthesist. He was able to pray with us as well as reassure us about the procedure.

The procedure went well. The three polyps that the surgeon removed were sent to pathology. The report is already back and there no evidence of cancer. Prayers were answered again❤️
