Have you ever wondered how to quickly update an out of season arrangement? It is easier than you might think! With a few seasonal silk flowers and a string of battery lights, you can turn a Holiday silk arrangement into a “new” Spring arrangement!

At Christmastime, I had transformed an out of season silk arrangement into a glittery Holiday arrangement.

Instead of storing until next Christmas, I decided to replace the silk poinsettias with faux peonies! Let me show you how I did it!

Let’s Get Ready for Spring!

Even though it is still winter, I love to start bringing in touches of Spring to my decor. Follow along with me while I show you how to quickly update an out of season arrangement by simply changing a few of the flowers.

Refreshing the arrangement by changing out a few flowers and accents for the current season allows you to save on storage space. Place the out of season flowers and accent pieces in a Ziploc bag and mark them “Flowers/Accents for Holiday Centerpiece” or something similar. The Ziploc bag will take up much less space than a finished arrangement!

I decided it was time to replace the poinsettias. Instead of the re using the lilies that were in the arrangement before, I decided to use peonies.

The head is a little too large in my opinion, so I simply pulled the stem apart and removed several of the petals. I saved them of course! Never know when you might need some extra peony petals! I simply pulled the poinsettia head off the stem and replace it with the smaller peony.

I removed the poinsettia head to expose the stem. I then was able to place the peony head on to the stem.

Accent pieces

I removed the glittery pinecones and filled in the spots with stems of rosemary. I also used a small succulent. I did leave a poinsettia on the stem behind the tiny faux succulent.
