An Easy to “Grow” Faux Tulip Arrangement

Are you looking for an easy to make Spring centerpiece?  A bundle of faux tulips and a few other supplies can be quickly turned into this cute arrangement. These tulips look so real, I had to actually touch them so make sure they were faux!  I received these realistic tulips from my friends at Journey Decor.com

Let me show you how to put together a faux tulip arrangement.

Gather Together The Elements You Will Need:

Faux tulips

The actual choice of what kind of faux flowers to use is up to you.  White roses, daisies, or even a bundle of green faux herbs would be equally as lovely.  Bright colors or what I call a hot summer mix of colors (red, hot pink, & orange) could also be used.  The technique is the same regardless of the color palette chosen!

Something to hold the flowers

You will need a vase, a flower pot or something similar to hold the flowers upright.  I used a green container similar to the one pictured below. Mine is actually an old cottage cheese container (I think) that I found at my Mom’s house.  She saved everything!

Grapevine Wreath

A simple grapevine wreath or a twig basket will add support and texture to your arrangement.

A Wooden Bowl

I added a wooden bowl to my design.  Having a base to the arrangement makes it easier to move it and it also added a little bit of height to the finished creation.

The grapevine wreath I had nestled quite nicely on the top of the smallest of the four wooden bowls displayed in the carrier.   This particular bowl has a 9 inch opening.

Simple Steps to Put The Arrangement Together

After gathering together your elements, follow these easy steps to put your arrangement together:

  1. Place the grapevine wreath on top of the wooden bowl to make a basket
  2. Place the tulips or flowers of your choice in the vase/flower pot
  3. Slip the container of flowers down into the center of the “basket”
  4. as a finishing touch, use spanish moss or sheet moss to cover the top of the container.  I didn’t do this step and looking at the photo, I should have!
  5. Place your basket of tulips on your table or sideboard.
  6. enjoy!

I don’t talk about my faith a lot. I do believe I don’t talk about my faith a lot. I do believe God puts certain people in your path for a reason. An example of this occurred on Tuesday. It was colonoscopy/sigmoidoscopy day. I was really nervous about how it would all work since it was my first time since I had my cancer surgery.

The nurse that was taking care of me in the pre op area turned out to be the same nurse who had prayed for me last year. My husband was in the parking lot of the medical center speaking with his friend who happened to work at the center with this particular nurse. I was very sick at the time and they prayed for my healing. It was great to be able to thank her in person and let her see that the prayers had been answered. ❤️

Then the anesthesiologist came in and told me about his cousin who had also been diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer about a year ago. He mentioned some of the treatments his cousin had had and how important a positive attitude is. I was touched that he took the time to tell me about his cousin’s experience.

We had arranged in advance to have my husband’s friend as the nurse anesthesist. He was able to pray with us as well as reassure us about the procedure.

The procedure went well. The three polyps that the surgeon removed were sent to pathology. The report is already back and there no evidence of cancer. Prayers were answered again❤️
