Coastal Fall Decor Ideas for the Entryway

September 14, 2023 by Kimberly Snyder Leave a Comment

Spread the love

Looking for a way to add coastal colors of celadon green & cream to your early Fall decor? Here are a few coastal fall decor ideas!

Are you looking for a way to incorporate the calming coastal colors of celadon green & cream in your early Fall decor?  I love using these colors year round but especially in the Fall when people are expecting to see the more traditional Fall colors.

To truly bring the coastal vibe into your home this fall, it’s important to choose a calming color palette that reflects the serene and tranquil atmosphere of a beachfront retreat. By selecting the right colors, you can set the tone for your coastal fall decor and create a soothing and relaxing ambiance throughout your space.

When it comes to coastal-inspired colors, think of the soft hues found in nature, such as sandy beige, ocean blues, and seafoam greens. These colors are reminiscent of sun-bleached shells, clear waters, and the gentle ebb and flow of the tide. Incorporating these shades into your home will help to evoke a sense of coastal serenity.

My “Muse” Vignette

The vignette below is from last year.  I “copied” the color scheme for this year’s early Autumn  entryway.  A few of the elements from this display were also used this year.

Close Up of Barn Tin Cream Colored Tray

This tray!  I love it!  It is made from recycled barn tin.  Last year I used it on my dining area side table.  It currently is on my coffee stand.  I need to move it to a better location!  It was a splurge item that I bought with some of my tip money when I still owned Makin’ Pizza!  If you are interested in learning more about my thyme as an entrepreneur, all the details are here:

Traditional Fall Colors in the Entryway

Previously, I used the tradition Autumn colors of orange with a touch of brown and black.  It looks fine but I have since decided that I like the look of the unexpected , pastel colors for Fall!

The Most Recent Rendition of Entry Way (Late Summer)

Pictured below is how the  entryway looked for Late Summer.  The oak framed mirror originally belonged to my Mother.  The story of where she found it and how she got it “home” can be found here:

Celadon Green & Cream for Early Fall

By reusing some of the key elements in place, it didn’t take long to give the entryway a quick refresh for Early Autumn using the coastal colors of celadon green and cream.

Here’s how I did it!

The first step is to remove all of the items from the display.  I dusted the marble top cabinet and cleaned the mirror.

Instead of a wreath, I rehung the framed print over the mirror.  The geometrical design of the print adds extra interest to the area.  The pair of candlesticks look like they are made out of wood but they are actually resin.  The candles are battery operated.  They are unique in that they have an option to either change colors and rotate through a variety of colors or stay lit with a solid yellow “flame”.  I chose to keep them at the solid yellow setting, as shown below.

I used a spray cleaner and a Mr Clean Magic Eraser sponge to clean the off white pillar.   Always do a test clean in an unobtrusive spot before cleaning the whole item to make sure it is safe to clean the wooden object!   More tips on how to clean old wood can be found here:

To complete the vignette, I added a faux pumpkin topiary in coastal colors displayed on a wooden tray.  I added a few silk flower hydrangea heads and shell spheres to the display.  A few pale green silk leaves are tucked under one of the shell spheres.

I don’t talk about my faith a lot. I do believe I don’t talk about my faith a lot. I do believe God puts certain people in your path for a reason. An example of this occurred on Tuesday. It was colonoscopy/sigmoidoscopy day. I was really nervous about how it would all work since it was my first time since I had my cancer surgery.

The nurse that was taking care of me in the pre op area turned out to be the same nurse who had prayed for me last year. My husband was in the parking lot of the medical center speaking with his friend who happened to work at the center with this particular nurse. I was very sick at the time and they prayed for my healing. It was great to be able to thank her in person and let her see that the prayers had been answered. ❤️

Then the anesthesiologist came in and told me about his cousin who had also been diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer about a year ago. He mentioned some of the treatments his cousin had had and how important a positive attitude is. I was touched that he took the time to tell me about his cousin’s experience.

We had arranged in advance to have my husband’s friend as the nurse anesthesist. He was able to pray with us as well as reassure us about the procedure.

The procedure went well. The three polyps that the surgeon removed were sent to pathology. The report is already back and there no evidence of cancer. Prayers were answered again❤️
