End Table Makeover with Chalk Spray Paint

Spray paint can quickly solve the problem if you are unhappy with the color of your end table! Let me show you how easy it is!

Makeover with Chalk Spray Paint

I purchased this end table from a friend via Facebook.  At the time, I didn’t really need anymore end tables but this one had the right “look” for Florida.  I wasn’t too sure the color of blue was quite right for where I thought I might use it so I decided to spray paint it.  Spray paint is quicker than painting with a brush but you still need to be careful and a bit more patient than I am.  I had previously purchased two cans of Rust-Oleum Chalked Spray paint in Linen White.

I set up my work area in the shed that ran along the back of the property.  The table would be safe from the elements and if I was a tad messy with my spraying, I wouldn’t be damaging anything .  I did use both cans in order to cover the blue.  In hind sight, I probably should have used a muted silver spray paint as a base coat and I may have been able to use less of the Linen White.

After the paint had dried, I used a piece of sand paper along the edges to give it a slightly distressed look.  I liked the matte finish of the paint so I didn’t use any wax on it.

I did bring this table to Florida and it is currently next to my husband’s desk .  I will take a picture of it when there isn’t so much stuff stacked on it !
