Won’t you join me as I take you on a virtual home tour of our home decorated for the holidays? I hope you enjoy it!
Welcome to our Florida Home decorated for the Holidays!
It seems like I have been working on decorating our home for months! As the year winds down, I’d love to take you on a virtual tour of the house!
Won’t you grab a cup of Hot Chocolate made from this recipe and join me on this pictorial walk thru our Christmas home?
The one thing that actually looks better after Hurricane Ian is our Christmas Palms! They were looking a bit peaked before the storm. Now, three months later, they are starting to really branch out!
The old grindstone, tucked into a nook in the front of our home, belonged to my Mother. It makes a great year round addition to the landscape. I love how Dave decorates it with the rope lights, don’t you?
Are you ready to go inside? The front door is flanked by topiaries accented with evergreen boughs. Next year, I think I will add some waterproof battery operated lights. I think they would look so pretty!
I love to decorate the entryway with a garden theme. The grindstone in the garden can be seen through the screens.
Close up of the holiday potpourri displayed in an old hog feeder. The hog feeder is one of the things I found when I cleaned out the barn on my family farm. Find out more about my found treasures here: Look What We Found in the Barn!
This Santa used to be displayed in our gathering room at the farm.
In Florida, it stands near the front door.
As we step into the narrow hallway, we are greeted with this garden style holiday vignette.
It looks so pretty with just the light from the battery operated candles!
Here’s how it looks with a little more light!
As we enter the living room, another holiday display can be seen.
Across from the butler’s pantry is my Christmas village display.
Every village needs to have a McDonald’s!
The living room also has a few more holiday vignettes.
After leaving the living room, we enter the small dining area. The octagon shaped table is the perfect size for breakfast for 2.
Across from the dining table is a marble topped cabinet that originally belonged to my paternal grandfather. I love to decorate it for the various seasons! It looks so cute with this white sugar mold and the architectural salvage pieces!
The galley kitchen doesn’t have a lot of space for decorations. When the range isn’t in use, I like to display this gingerbread themed dough bowl!
The coffee table in the gathering room always has a dough bowl displayed on it. This one is one of my very favorites!
The gathering room is also home to our Christmas tree! This year, the tree is decorated with quite a few of my vintage ornaments.
Last year, it was decorated with a coastal theme.
