Designing a seasonal vignette with white pumpkins & mums is an easy way to enhance your Autumn Porch Decor!
You don’t have to be an interior designer to create beautiful outdoor spaces. In fact, there are many ways to add seasonal charm and style to your front entryway. Designing a vignette with white pumpkins & white mums is one way to add a cottage feel to your Autumn porch decor!
Let me show you how!

Autumn Cottage Style Porch Decor
Create a welcoming entrance with a cottage style chair
If you’re looking for ideas for how to decorate your front porch, you are in the right place! Today I am sharing how I styled the neutral Autumn vignette pictured above.
The front porch is often the first impression visitors receive when entering your home. It should reflect your personality and style, so consider how you’d like to welcome guests into your space. My personal style , “Kim Style” incompasses several different decorating styles. I describe “Kim” Style as a unique blend of shabby chic, primitive, cottage , farmhouse, garden style, & industrial with a splash of coastal!
This particular vignette leans more to Cottage Style.
Every great vignette needs an anchor point! I used this cute wooden chair as my anchor point.
While I love the shabby chic style, this was a little too rustic even for me! I decided to give the chair a fresh coat of paint with some chalk paint.
While the paint was drying, I gathered the rest of the elements for my vignette.
Neutral Autumn Cottage Style Elements
Nothing says Autumn more than pumpkins and mums! Since I wanted to keep this vignette neutral, I decided to go with white pumpkins and white mums. I picked out two large white mums and three of the white pumpkins.
I also grabbed about a dozen of the little white Boo pumpkins. I planned to use them in several different spots. I love how cute they are and how long they last!
In addition to the mums and the pumpkins, I found some ribbon and a few red berries. I am really liking how a pop of red makes the vignette feel more festive! I used berries like these:
Let’s Put The Vignette Together
One mum is placed on the chair along with one of the larger white pumpkins. I sprinkled a few acorns around the base of the pumpkin.
I tied a simple shoestring bow around the stem of the white Boo pumpkin. I added a few more white Boo pumpkins to the elements on the seat of the chair. A stem of the red berries is tucked into the pumpkins.
Another white pumpkin is added to the chair seat.
The second mum is placed on the floor of the porch along the last larger white pumpkin. More Boo pumpkins, acorns and striped gourds are added to the vignette.

This is so pretty Kimberly. I love baby boo pumpkins too.
I don’t use mums anymore. In NJ they don’t do well in my opinion.
I gravitate to flowering kale.
Love this so much. Pinned!
