The Honor Flight Network is dedicated to providing our WW2, Korean & Vietnam veterans an opportunity to see the monuments in Washington DC
Ten years ago tomorrow, I had the privilege of accompanying my Dad on an Honor Flight Mission to Washington DC. It was the first time the Central Illinois Honor Flight program had left from Champaign Illinois. It was a once in a life time experience and I am so glad that I was able to go with my Dad.
All of the details and lots of pictures can be found here:

My dad went to the memorial. with my brother and his family a number fo years ago. It was a moving experience for him, like so many WW2 veterns. Glad you were able to take your dad. It was an amazing time for mine.

Please tell your husband “Thank you” for his service from me. I appreciate his service. I highly recommend the Honor flight program. The veteran goes for free. Thank you for reading my post about my Dad.
